Mali: 30 civilians rescued in terrorist attack, two dead

A terrorist attack on a resort near Bamako frequented by foreigners killed two people on Sunday, including a Franco-Gabonese, but some 30 civilians escaped from the first anti-Western attack for more than a year in the capital Malian.

One witness told the reporters that he saw a man arrive on a motorcycle who then started shooting at the crowd, then “two or three people” came with another vehicle.

The number of assailants has not been specified, but at least four have been killed, according to the Malian Minister of Security, Salif Traoré. For this one, “It is rather a jihadist attack”.
